吉野・川上村には、古くは『万葉集』や『日本書紀』の時代から近世に至るまで、文学作品に描かれた舞台が多数存在しています。「そらみつ文庫」はそれらの文学を皆さんのもとへお届けします。
「そらみつ」とは空からみたという意味の枕詞です。私たちはこの言葉に２つの意味を込めました。ひとつめは、吉野・川上を舞台とした文学を俯瞰するということ。ふたつめは、桜ライブキャストのカメラのように、美しい吉野・川上の風景を、言葉を紡いで映し出すということです。皆さんの心にそらみつ豊かな世界が届きますように。
Yoshino and Kawakami are blessed with a number of places that appear in noted literary works, ranging from ancient ones such as Manyo-shu and Nihon-shoki to more recent ones. With the help of waka [five line, 31 syllable poems] that in various ways sings of the beauty of this area, we hope to draw your heart close to these places.
Soramitsu [literally, looking (mitsu) down from the sky (sora)] is a so-called pillow word, a conventional poetic epithet, used in waka to describe Yamato, the land of Japan, for example. Here it describes two panoramas that we offer to our readers. One is a bird's-eye view of the literary works set in Yoshino and Kawakami. The other is a survey in words of the beautiful scenery that the people of Yoshino and Kawakami are so proud of. In this way, we hope to be able to infuse the cultural riches of the Soramitsu world into the minds of our readers.
